2017 Audi Q5 Spotted Without Camouflage

The 2017 Audi Q5 Spotted Without Camouflage

The 2017 Audi Q5 SUV is set to be unveiled after a few months. This second generation Sports Utility Vehicle will be Audi’s trump card to give other SUVs like Mercedes Benz GLC class and BMW X 3 a good run in the market. The Audi Q5 was spotted testing almost fully uncovered and the spy shots of the car is already trending on the internet.

The 2017 Audi Q5 SUV share the platform of the bigger Q7 or the A4 sedan. The spied shot of the Audi Q5 SUV shows that the car will be coming out with large hexagonal grille made of silver. The horizontal bars used in the grille mesh are now fewer. The grille is the only area of the Audi Q5s front fascia that is slightly camouflaged in the spy shot.

The front headlights are rectangular in shape and are connected to the grille extends to the fenders. This set up makes the car look wider. There is not much change at the rear end of the new SUV except the hatch covers even the LED taillights in its design.

The spy shots did not cover anything about the interiors. But the SUV is said to share the major components in the Audi B9 and Audi A4 models. The best features of the Audi Q5   would be air-conditioning controls that are touch sensitive and the digital dashboard.

The Audi Q5 SUV will be built on the same modular MLB platform that is underpinning the Audi A4 sedan. The engine of Audi A4 will be carried over and fitted under the hood of the 2017 Audi Q5 SUV. This means that the Audi Q5 will be coming out with a 2.0 liter TFSI engine that will offer 190 PS of power. The engine will be combined with front- wheel drive setup and is capable of giving a mileage of 42.7 mpg. Audi Q5 will also be available in diesel variants and hopefully without the cheat software.

The diesel engines that could be fitted in Audi Q5 will be 2.0 TDI and 3.0 liter TDI engines. You can expect the turbo-charged V6 engine of the Audi Q5 to offer 350 hp of power. The spied Audi Q5 SUV is just a test prototype and the developments of the engine are still not underway. The engine specifications mentioned here is just guesswork as the Q5 built on the same platform that A4 and Q7 uses.
