Paul Walker’s Daughter Blames Porsche For His Fatal Accident

Meadow Walker, the daughter of Paul Walker, who was killed in a car crash in November 30th, 2013, involving Porsche Carrera GT filed a suit against the car company. Walker was with his friend Roger Rodas when the Porsche Carrera GT met with a crash. Rodas was driving the car. According to reports, the car skidded off from the hit a tree nearby and the lamp pole. The crash happened in Los Angeles during the Thanksgiving break from his film schedule. The last film he acted was “Furious 7”. The actor’s daughter is now 16 years old and she has filed the lawsuit nearly two years after the accident. In the lawsuit, Meadow Walker claimed that Carrera GT is a “dangerous car that doesn’t belong to street driving”. According to the investigators of the accident, there were no mechanical problems with the car, but unsafe speed caused the crash. They also found that the car tires were aged and were in poor condition. Walker’s daughter blames that Porsche didn’t do anything to rectify the problem of instability that was common to the model. In the suit, it is mentioned that the injuries caused to Walker were mainly due to the wrong placement of shoulder belt anchor. The suit also alleges that during the crash impact, the shoulder belt came out along with the rear engine compartment while the seat belt was anchored perfectly. This shattered the upper body of Walker with huge force, breaking his ribs and pelvis. The impact caused his seat to flatten and he got trapped in an inclined position. One minute and twenty seconds after the accident, the car erupted into flames. Calvin Kim, the spokesperson of Porsche Cars North America, said that they will not comment on the lawsuit as the automaker is yet to see the lawsuit. Kim said that they get saddened when anyone gets hurt while using their vehicle, but in this case the reports have clearly established that the tragic crash resulted from excessive speed and reckless driving. The lawsuit also alleges that the vehicle used by Walker lacked some safety features that are usually present in well-designed racing vehicles or even on the least expensive road cars from Porsche. If these features were present, it could have prevented the crash or at least Walker would have survived the crash. The Fast and Furious star was only 40 at the time of the crash.
