2016 Subaru Forester Might Come To The U.S. In 2017

The Subaru Forester that is currently on sale is the 2014 model year Forester. 2016 Subaru Forester will be making its first public appearance at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show that will be held at the end of this month in Japan. This Forester would arrive first in the Japanese market and is expected to hit the U.S dealerships only in 2017.

Subaru has unveiled a facelift version of the Forester just ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show. There are a few updates that you will easily notice on the 2016 Forester. This compact SUV gets a new front grille and bumper, updated headlights as well as taillights.

The top end 2016 Subaru forester will be coming out with LED headlights for both high and low beams. The beam of the headlights will swivel according to the steering inputs in order to provide better vision for the driver around intersections and in corners. The beam also uses an adaptive technology that will help in lowering the glare of the light from the oncoming vehicles.

Some of the safety features that are included in the updated Forester SUV are: lane change assist, pre-collision braking, cruise control, lane- maintaining assist, monitoring of blind spots and rear cross alert.

The Japanese Forester will be coming out with two engine flavors just like the U.S models. The base Forester will be offered with 2.5 liter, 4 cylinder engine. There is also an optional XT Forester variant on offer that will be having a 2.0 liter boxer, four cylinder turbo-charged engine under its hood.

There are a few mechanical updates that Subaru has added in the 2016 Forester SUV to offer better rigidness, stability and passenger comfort. Rear suspensions get a revamp along with the strengthening of the cross member at the front.

The 2016 Forester models come with thicker side glasses, better body sealing and CVT tweaks in order to reduce NVH. These modifications help the 2016 Forester SUV to be quieter than its previous version. The interiors of the high end versions also get an update. The piano black and silver accents   are the flavor that you will find inside the vehicle. With improved leather seats and accents, silver lining on the three- spoke steering wheel, center console and the dashboard the Subaru forester facelift looks quite stylish and modern.

The U.S spec Subaru Forester might come out with the same revamp or with some other changes.
