2016 Honda CR-V Is Coming Out With A Special Edition Model

Honda CR-V is one of the popular vehicles sold in the U.S. this year. The 2016 Honda CR-V is coming to the US dealerships this fall with a special Edition model. The price of the Honda CR-V SE model is $25,275 that includes destination and handling charges. This news was announced by the Honda Motors America division yesterday. This is great news for all the Honda CR-V fans.

The new Honda CR-V SE is slotted just above the base version of Honda CR-V. There are a few changes that are on offer in the special edition when compared to the base version of the Honda CR-V. The SE Honda CR-V model comes just $800 more than the base LX version. With the addition of the SE Honda CR-V, now there are 12 CR-V trims on offer for the Americans to pick their favorite Honda CR-V trims.

The extra equipments that you will find in the Honda CR-V SE edition are: two tone paint, security system, 17 inch alloy wheels and rear windows with tint. As there are only a few updates that are on offer in the SE CR-V, this is why Honda is not asking a very high premium price for the model.

The SE Honda CR-V is offered in both front wheel as well as all wheel drive configurations. The front wheel drive configuration of the SE Honda CR-V will cost you $24,395 and the all wheel drive Honda CR-V special edition can be owned by paying $25,695.

This Honda SE edition of CR-V will be placed below the two high end spec models on offer, the EX-L and the Touring models. The 2016 Honda CR-V special edition will be coming out with the same engine that you find under the hood of the 2014 Honda CR-V. The engine will be a 2.4 liter, four cylinder engine that is mated to a continuously variable transmission n (CVT) system.   The engine will offer a maximum power of 185 HP and a maximum torque of 181 pound-feet. The car will be giving you a fuel efficiency of 26 mpg in city conditions and 33 mpg on highways.

There are quite a few crossovers and SUVs that are on sale in the American market. Honda CR-V special edition will be competing with the likes of Hyundai Santa Fe sport, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape. Honda CR-V is a very popular car and Honda America was able to sell a record 35,000 CR-V’s in August this year.
